icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute committed to addressing key public health challenges through high-quality research and innovation.
The Maternal and Child Health Division of icddr,b is conducting a study to establish national monitoring standards for assessing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in Bangladesh. A nationwide survey will be conducted to validate these standards.
The Project Research Physician reports to the Assistant Scientist, will be involved in research activities, including:
- Understand the protocol; Plan and implement survey in the health facilities as per the protocol;
- Communicate with health officials at divisional, district, and facility levels for effective implementation of the study;
- Conduct interviews with health professionals, facility managers, and clients;
- Collect quality data from health facilities;
- Identify and notify gaps, and provide insights from day-to-day survey/research activities in order to resolve locally generated issues guided by the supervisor;
- Prepare and submit weekly updates/report to supervisor detailing the quality of the study work done as per protocol.
Required qualifications and experience:
- MBBS degree with valid BMDC registration;
- Candidates with hands on experience in health research will get preference;
- Strong communication skills.
Location: All over Bangladesh (with extensive field visits)
Number of Positions: 30
Contract Type and duration:
- Short Term Daily Wage basis; duration will be 2.5 months
Salary & Benefits:
- Tk.3,018/-per day (consolidated);
