CCID is committed to advancing the rights of communities, women, girls, and young people in Cameroon while strengthening community Community Centre for Integrated Development aims to advance the rights of communities, women, girls and young people in Cameroon while strengthening community leaders and community based organizations to respond to the needs of indigenous people. CCID recognizes that there is need to build resilient communities in Africa capable of: Advancing the rights and empowerment of women and girls, Empowering individuals and groups to become community change agents, Promoting Health, Education and Human rights for all people We recognize that these rights are essential to social, environmental and economic growth of communities and for justice for all indigenous people. We envision an Africa where; All women and girls can exercise their rights and make informed decisions about sexuality, relationships, pregnancies, child bearing and marriage, free from coercion, violence and discrimination Communities work together with numerous stakeholders to push community driven development. They are aware of their rights and work to empower each other while pushing development. Young people have access to educational opportunities as well as access to youth friendly reproductive right services Young people have access to information, resources to assume leadership with focus on social planning and policy change aiming at social action and system change

Context

In conflict-affected communities, women, adolescent girls and young people often face increased risks of gender-based violence, limited access to sexual and reproductive health services, exclusion from peacebuilding spaces, and harmful social norms that silence their experiences. The Women, Peace and Security Agenda provides an important framework for protecting women and girls, promoting their leadership, and ensuring their meaningful participation in peacebuilding and decision-making. However, the WPS Agenda is often presented in technical policy language that many young people, community members and grassroots actors may find difficult to understand. CCID therefore seeks to develop a simple, engaging and youth-friendly animated educational video that explains the links between Women, Peace and Security, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence prevention and response. The animated video will be used to support community sensitisation, online advocacy, youth engagement, training sessions and campaigns such as the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. It will help translate policy into practical community action by showing that peace is not only the absence of war, but also the presence of safety, dignity, bodily autonomy, access to services, and freedom from violence.

Task Description

CCID is seeking the support of Online Volunteer(s) to develop a short, engaging and youth-friendly animated educational video on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and Gender-Based Violence. The Online Volunteer(s) will help simplify these important but often technical issues into clear messages that can be understood by young people, community members, grassroots organisations and local leaders. The animated video should explain what the Women, Peace and Security Agenda means, why women and girls must be included in peacebuilding, how conflict increases risks of GBV, and why access to SRHR services is essential for dignity, safety and peace. The assignment will include developing a video concept, writing a script, preparing a storyboard or scene-by-scene outline, producing the final animated video, adding subtitles, and creating a shorter version for social media. The video may use 2D animation, motion graphics, animated characters, icons, voice-over, text overlays, illustrations, or other creative animation formats. The final product will be used by CCID for community sensitisation, online advocacy, training sessions, youth engagement and campaigns such as the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The animated video must be survivor-centred, non-stigmatising, culturally sensitive and suitable for use in Cameroon and other African contexts.
