In this full time permanent (Mondays – Fridays) role, you’ll work as a part of our NSW Retail team in Bateau Bay to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Retail Store Manager plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. By supporting the management of the daily operations of the Save the Children Australia Bateau Bay Op Shop, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

  • Driving results with purpose — hitting targets while keeping a strong, community-minded commercial focus.
  • Creating standout customer moments — delivering great service and handling feedback with confidence and care.
  • Bringing the brand to life — supporting campaigns, amplifying promotions, and keeping the mission front and centre.
  • Building a high-performing team — onboarding, coaching and supporting volunteers while nurturing an inclusive, positive culture.
  • Running a polished, efficient store — maintaining strong visual standards and keeping daily operations flowing smoothly.
  • Staying on top of stock and finances — managing inventory, driving donations, and keeping the numbers accurate and accountable.

This role requires:

  • Solid retail know-how with hands-on customer service and team leadership experience
  • Organisational ability — you’re great at juggling priorities and managing time effectively

  • Strong communication skills & relationship builder — you connect easily and work well with others
  • Happy to roll up the sleeves — comfortable with the physical side of retail when needed
