1. Objective of the assignment

Through grant funding, WFC is launching an initiative to reach more creators in the Asia-Pacific region. Initial activities will focus on Indonesia and Thailand, specifically in the Music and Visual Arts industries. Future activities may include other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
In this context, WFC seeks to recruit a Program Coordinator, Asia-Pacific.
The Program Coordinator will be part of a two-person team – together with a Senior Regional Advisor – that will play a critical role in the successful implementation of CLIP’s regional strategy.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and programmatic support to facilitate and advance CLIP’s relationships with key industry stakeholders and all related regional activities in the region.
As directed by the Head, WFC, the Program Coordinator’s main activities will include:
- Supporting the identification, organization, and tracking of relevant stakeholders across the regional creative ecosystem,
- Diligently managing customer-oriented communications with stakeholders,
- Organizing meetings and ensure timely follow-up,
- Coordinating CLIP Champion engagements and other outreach activities as relevant.
The Program Coordinator will work under the direction of the Head, WFC, together with the CLIP team and other WIPO colleagues as relevant, and in close alignment with the Senior Regional Advisor, Asia-Pacific.
2. Deliverables
This role is time-bound to the duration of the grant funding this initiative. During this period, the Contractor will:
- Coordinate and support the building of relationships with key stakeholders across the creative industries ecosystem, including CMOs, publishers, industry associations, and major events during the grant period.
- Conduct background research and prepare briefing materials on relevant stakeholders and industry developments.
- Provide administrative support for stakeholder engagement activities, including for the organization of meetings and follow-up communications during this assignment.
- Develop and maintain a database of key stakeholders, events, and opportunities, as relevant.
- Maintain records of stakeholder engagement and contribute to internal documentation and reporting related to CLIP’s outreach activities during the assignment period.
The activities described above are to be carried out during the grant period, concluding upon completion of the specified deliverables within the agreed contractual timeframe.
3. Reporting
The Contractor will report to Head, WIPO for Creators.
4. Profile
- 5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or related field.
- Experience working in creative industries, intellectual property, cultural sectors, or international organizations is an asset.
- Strong customer service-oriented mindset.
- Strong ability to drive progress proactively.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to support engagement with multiple stakeholders in an international environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of one or more Asia-Pacific regional language is preferred.
- Knowledge of music and visual arts industries is preferred.
5. Duration of contract and payment
The Selected Contractor will be engaged through an Individual Contractor Services (ICS) agreement for the provision of services as and when needed by WIPO. The duration of this agreement is expected to be from ASAP to 31 March 2027. The anticipated time commitment is 40%, or approximately 100 working days over a 12-month period, as from the effective date of the contract.
Candidates are invited to indicate their financial expectations of a daily rate in either Swiss francs, Euros, British Pounds, or USD.
A daily rate will thereafter be agreed by WIPO and the selected Contractors.
WIPO has no obligation to commission such work but may do so for the duration of this agreement. Payments will be made based on monthly invoices.
6. Other information
ICS contractors fall outside the coverage of employment contracts for WIPO Staff members and are not subject to the WIPO Staff Regulations and Rules. The contractor has no entitlement to vacation or sick leave, except for WIPO official holidays, or to medical insurance or staff pension.
