ITSET ensures coherence, interoperability, and business value realization through standards, reference architecture, and governance. The unit drives portfolio alignment, process optimization, and adoption of data-driven practices across the WBG. Duties and accountabilities: The Associate Senior Enterprise Architect • Drives enterprise-wide adoption and optimization of cloud platforms, AI capabilities, and integration patterns to enable secure, scalable, and intelligent solutions.• Translates organizational and business strategies into coherent enterprise architecture direction.• Produces high quality architecture artifacts that enable delivery teams to execute effectively. • Acts as an enterprise enabler, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared architectural standards and patterns. • Balances innovation with risk, compliance, and operational stability in architectural decisions.Enterprise Architecture Development• Leads the development of enterprise architecture frameworks and guidelines to align technology initiatives with business objectivesArchitecture Analysis & Innovation• Guides the assessment of existing IT infrastructure and applications to pinpoint areas for enhancement and efficiency• Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvementStakeholder Engagement• Communicates architectural strategies to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization• Oversees partnership with Agile teams to ensure architectural alignment, scalability, and technical guidance across iterative development cycles
Selection Criteria
• Enterprise Architecture certification required (TOGAF, EACOE, or equivalent issued by The Open Group). • Strong hands-on experience designing and governing cloud reference architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for large-scale, mission-critical environments. • Proven experience driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption and optimization, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. • Demonstrated expertise in integration strategies and patterns, including API-led, event-driven, and data-based architectures. • Proven ability to monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and apply them pragmatically to enterprise contexts. • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Master's degree with 8 years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related discipline; OR Bachelor's degree with 10 years relevant experience.• Cloud Solutions Architect certification required (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP equivalent).• Proven experience establishing and enforcing enterprise guardrails to ensure coherence, interoperability, security, and compliance across cloud, AI, and integration domains.• Proven experience defining and guiding AI and GenAI adoption frameworks, including responsible AI considerations, architectural patterns, and enterprise enablement models. • Strong capability to assess existing IT landscapes, identify architectural gaps, and recommend modernization or optimization opportunities. • Experience leading or participating in architecture reviews, ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise standards, best practices, and business objectives. • Experience partnering with Agile delivery teams to ensure architectural alignment across iterative development cycles.
