The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the Hydrogen-to-X (H2X) Program under the Korea Green New Deal Trust Fund (KGNDTF). The H2X Program aims to translate national hydrogen strategies into finance-ready, bankable project pipelines by linking partner-country priorities with Korean policy finance, private-sector capabilities, and global climate funds.
Embedded within GGGI’s H2G (Hydrogen to Green Growth) Initiative, the program operates across Asia, Africa, MENA, and LAC to develop policy-finance-linked hydrogen projects, facilitate structured private-sector engagement, and convene high-level cooperation platforms.
The Project Associate will support the operational, administrative, and analytical implementation of the H2X Program, ensuring effective coordination, event management, knowledge product administration, and financial proposal development.
The appointment is for 18 months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.

The Project Associate ensures consistent quality and coordination across multiple interrelated processes of the H2X Program, including stakeholder consultations, financial proposal development, knowledge product management, and high-level event execution. The role contributes substantively by:
The scope of work spans global coordination across HQ, regional offices, partner governments, private-sector stakeholders, and contracted service providers. The complexity lies in synchronizing administrative, analytical, and event-related processes across geographically dispersed stakeholders under strict donor timelines.
The Project Associate will engage with internal and external stakeholders primarily in a coordination, facilitation, and information-management capacity, under the guidance and direction of Program Leads and senior technical staff. The role will work closely with teams across HQ, Regional and Country Offices, as well as corporate functions such as Finance, Procurement, and Communications, supporting the consolidation of inputs, coordination of timelines, and preparation of project documentation and reporting.
All external engagement will be conducted within established guidance and protocols, with strategic positioning, negotiation, and representational responsibilities retained by senior staff.
The role requires strong communication, coordination, and documentation management skills to ensure operational coherence and quality control across multiple stakeholders and processes.
The role is primarily focused on ensuring smooth program delivery, effective stakeholder coordination, and timely execution of operational process while providing analytical and proposal support as needed.

This is an X6 grade level in GGGI's Republic of Korea Salary Scale. The salary range for the position starts at USD 48,312 per annum. Determination of base salary is subject to candidate's experience, academic background and internal equity.
In addition to the base salary, the contract includes a 15% contribution toward a retirement or long-term savings plan, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance coverage (including dental and vision).
