Job Description

This selection exercise may be used to generate a roster of pre-approved candidates to address future staffing needs for similar functions in any of the Departments and Offices of the Organization.

Organizational Setting

The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The IAEA's ICT infrastructure comprises hardware and software platforms, and cloud and externally-hosted services. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and Prince2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment) best practices.The Client Services Section (CSS) is responsible for setting standards, providing first and second level support of the IAEA's desktop computing environment, delivery of the IAEA's IT training programme and promoting client oriented services. It designs, manages and implements desktop services, including their architecture, processes and policies to meet current and future business requirements. It aims at achieving the delivery of agreed levels of services to clients in compliance with best practices defined by international standards, in particular ITIL.

 

Main Purpose

The Associate Microsoft 365 Platform Analyst supports the governance, operation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on either (1) mobile device and endpoint management using Microsoft Intune and related services, including support for audio/video streaming platforms, or (2) automation and AI-driven business solutions using the Power Platform. Working under the guidance of senior specialists, the role contributes to the effective use of Microsoft 365 technologies to enhance productivity, security, and collaboration across the organization.

The Associate Microsoft 365 Platform Analyst is:
• A service enabler, supporting the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Platform, Power BI, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Intune, by assisting users, resolving issues, and contributing to solution development.
• A collaborator, working closely with internal clients and senior IT staff to understand business needs, support the implementation of digital solutions, and ensure alignment with governance and operational standards.
• A knowledge contributor, helping to maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides, while promoting best practices and continuous improvement in the use of Microsoft 365 services.

- Mobile device and endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, including iOS, and support for audio/video streaming services; and/or
- Automation and AI-driven solutions using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio) and Power BI.
- Assist in applying governance policies and procedures for Microsoft 365 services.
- Perform operational tasks and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Provide user support and contribute to training and onboarding activities.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance of new features and updates.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to solution enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills

  • Bachelor's Degree - University degree in Software Engineering or a related field (such as information management, electronic engineering, or computer science).

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Microsoft 365 administration or support. 

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas like Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager for mobile device management (iOS, macOS, iPadOS) and AV streaming services or Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), Power BI, Copilot Agent and Microsoft Graph for automation and AI integration. 

  • Internationally recognized Technical Certification such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert are desirable.

  • Internationally recognized Project Management Certification such as PMP or Prince 2 is desirable.

  • Excellent oral and written command of English. 

  • Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

 

Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $56046 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 29760*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance. Appointment information

 

  • Appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical report.
  • Staff members may be assigned to any location.
  • Candidates appointed to posts in the Professional and higher categories are subject to IAEA rotation policy and their maximum tour of service shall normally be seven years.
  • The IAEA retains the discretion not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a lower grade or with a different contract type, or to make an appointment with a modified job description or for shorter duration than indicated above.
