Organizational Setting
The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The IAEA's ICT infrastructure comprises hardware and software platforms, and cloud and externally-hosted services. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and Prince2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment) best practices.The Client Services Section (CSS) is responsible for setting standards, providing first and second level support of the IAEA's desktop computing environment, delivery of the IAEA's IT training programme and promoting client oriented services. It designs, manages and implements desktop services, including their architecture, processes and policies to meet current and future business requirements. It aims at achieving the delivery of agreed levels of services to clients in compliance with best practices defined by international standards, in particular ITIL.
Main Purpose
The Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist leads the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services across the organization. The role ensures that Microsoft 365 workloads, including Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), Power BI, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online, are configured, integrated, and optimized to meet evolving business needs, enhance collaboration, and support secure digital transformation.

The Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist is:
• A technical specialist, responsible for the architecture, configuration, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 services, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT standards and business objectives.
• A governance enabler, defining and enforcing policies, security controls, and compliance frameworks for Microsoft 365 workloads in collaboration with cybersecurity and IT governance teams.
• A solution architect, designing and delivering scalable, secure, and user-centric digital solutions; Translating organizational needs into robust Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance productivity, collaboration, and compliance.
• A mentor and collaborator, supporting knowledge transfer, guiding junior staff, and engaging with stakeholders across departments to drive adoption, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
Bachelor's Degree in Software, IT Engineering or a related field (such as information management, electronic engineering or computer science).
Internationally recognized certification of Project Management such as PMP or Prince2 is required.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment.
Internationally recognized certification of Information Security is desirable.
Microsoft certification for software development/design using Microsoft platform related tools.
Proven experience in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 workloads, including Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and copilot Agent.

Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71335 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 40162*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
