Organizational Context and Scope
Under overall supervision of the Head of unit and the direct supervision of the IM and Reporting Assistant of Migration Data and Research (MDR) unit, the incumbent will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects under the unit including DTM REMAP (II), with the following duties and responsibilities:
Provide administrative and logistical clerical support to the projects under the unit and fill out required finance and procurement documents to support operations of data activities.
Assist to keep records and organize finance and procurement documents.
Assist in regular data monitoring and quality control checks in databases.
Comply with relevant IOM policies, especially on Data Protection and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) standards on data and information security.
Demonstrate commitment to the Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (PSEA) and ensure mainstreaming of PSEA in DTM operations.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
At least 1 year experience with University degree in social sciences, migration studies, data science, information management, law, political science or related field; or,
Completed secondary education with three years of relevant working experience;
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Relevant experience in project related admin and logistics support;
Skills
Robust knowledge and experience in EXCEL and other database software is an added advantage;
Knowledge of UN system would be an advantage;
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position,
Fluency in English and Bangla is required (oral and written);
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
