CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Electrical Supervisor to work in the Operations chapter.
The positions will be based at CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. This includes emergency generators, UPS systems, substations, transformers, distribution panels, grounding systems, motors, and general electrical installations. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, proper use of PPE, and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
The supervisor also manages staff assignments, interprets technical diagrams, develops preventive maintenance schedules, monitors tools and materials, responds to electrical emergencies, and supports fire detection and suppression system maintenance.
Strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills are essential to guarantee the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the facility’s electrical infrastructure.
