• Delivery of a complete, interactive Arabic online course aligned with ESCWA quality standards. • Development of a consistent and recognizable visual identity for the course. • Design and production of a professional introductory video. • Timely submission of final, validated course materials in Arabic.

Duties and Responsibilities
The IC will be responsible for the following: • Develop and design the online course titled Tools for assessing regional climate models and their applications in the Arab region: from science to policymaking. • Prepare detailed storyboards for the initial stages of course production using Articulate 360, Storyline 360, and Rise 360. • Develop a coherent visual identity and branding for the course in line with ESCWA guidelines. • Create and produce, primarily in Arabic and in line with the official languages of ESCWA, all required digital learning products (including videos, storylines, interactive exercises, scenarios, posters, brochures, and electronic files such as interactive PDFs), using professional editing and design software, including Adobe InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Acrobat CC, Adobe XD, as well as HTML, CSS, Microsoft Word, and Excel. • Review, edit, and enhance online content to support organizational goals and messaging themes, incorporating innovative techniques and styles and bringing a unique and artistic perspective to the project. • Edit and produce multimedia content, including video editing, voice-over integration, sound design, and error correction, using professional software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Acrobat Pro. • Utilize Adobe After Effects and 3D visual effects to add dynamic elements and visual enhancements to the project. • Design infographics from information submitted by the client to help communicate complex information simply. • Assist in other ad-hoc activities as instructed.
Qualifications/special skills
A bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic arts, or a related field and knowledge of the latest technology and digital equipment to achieve the required results are required. All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. 6 years of experience in developing online courses, media production, video making, editing, and visual effects using specific editing software packages is required. Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (Articulate 360, Storyline 360, Rise 360) is required. Proficiency in Adobe Cloud suite of products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office, is required. Multimedia experience with film and animation graphics is required. Experience in working at the UN or other similar global international organizations is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA. For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required. Note: “Fluency” equals a rating of ‘fluent’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and “Knowledge of” equals a rating of ‘confident’ in two of the four areas.
