A place to make a difference:

In this part-time (0.6 FTE – 3 days a week), permanent role, you’ll work as a part of our Brand and Communications team in Melbourne, Australia to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Communications Specialist – Library For All plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children.

Alongside local and global partners, Library For All develop, publish, and deliver culturally relevant books for children and young readers in Australia and around the world, breaking barriers where access to learning resources is limited.

From offline locations in Papua New Guinea, to remote communities in Ethiopia, and crisis areas in Ukraine, Library For All is already supporting more than 560,000 children on their learning journey.

Whether it’s developing a communications plan to support the launch of a new book collection, organising a content collection trip to capture a writer’s workshop, or creating a content series that deepens understanding of our work, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific, and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

· Leading the development of strategic, human-centred content, and storytelling that bring Library for All’s programs and publishing work to life for diverse audience

· Driving brand growth by creating high quality communications outputs, collateral, and pitch materials that support business development, partnerships, and organisational visibility

· Managing Library For All’s content on channels including website and social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), overseeing content planning, publishing, engagement tracking, and continuous optimisation

· Collaborate closely with Library For All and Save the Children teams to ensure outputs contain cohesive messaging, strong design, and align with strategic priorities

You’ll have the ability to translate complex ideas and strategic initiatives into clear, compelling narratives, shape stories with cultural integrity and audience insight, and uphold a consistent brand voice across every channel. You’ll find success in this role if you’re comfortable operating in dynamic environments and juggling multiple stakeholders with confidence. Ideally, you can demonstrate:

· 5 years’ experience in a communications or content-focused role, with a strong track record of producing high-quality, multi-channel content

· Outstanding written communications skills with an ability to craft narrative, adapt tone, and work across storytelling formats

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a broader strategic framework

· Experience managing social media channels, websites, and digital communications tools

· Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across functions, disciplines, and cultures

· Experience developing communications for, or a strong interest in, the humanitarian and international development sector - particularly in education programs
