Job Summary
The LACRO and US Hispanic Marketing Officer delivers high-quality marketing materials that strengthen CRS’ positioning across the region and country programs, and among key donors and stakeholders. Serving as the regional focal point, the RMO supports the design, start-up, implementation and delivery of centrally supported marketing efforts, while closely working with other teams regional, country program cross-agency teams to advance CRS’ visibility and donor engagement.
This role is responsible for producing compelling, on-brand content that supports the communications priorities of the LACRO region and shapes the messaging for Hispanic outreach for U.S. Church audiences. S/he produces original Spanish content, provide editorial feedback to ensure consistent tone, voice, grammar and Catholic identity and support content for digital channels. This role contributes to strategic engagement priorities for the agency through the collection, documentation, and dissemination of materials that are used for strategic decision-making. The RMO also strengthens communications capacity across the region—mentoring and guiding staff, contributing to brand alignment, and producing rapid-turnaround content for high-visibility moments. As part of G-REM’s Communications, Content and Strategy team, the RMO’s priorities are established by regional leadership, and will ensure support for consistent, strategic messaging and increased CRS’ visibility and brand recognition. This role will ensure strong representation of the region across Institutional Funding, Leadership Giving, Policy, and Omnichannel initiatives.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
Marketing for Spanish-speaking US Constituency
- Writes, edits and publishes content for engaging U.S. Hispanic Catholics through a variety of print, digital and social media platforms, including CRS websites (English and Spanish), email marketing, Advocacy campaigns and G-REM/Church Engagement campaigns, such as CRS Rice Bowl.
- Collaborate on U.S. Hispanic engagement communications, content and marketing strategies to ensure accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Effectively create bilingual marketing and communications content that resonates with U.S. Hispanic audiences by ensuring cultural relevance, linguistic accuracy and meaningful engagement.
- Create advocacy materials for Spanish-speaking constituents in the U.S. to support strategic engagement and action, such as content for digital action alerts, legislative updates for key supporters, and more.
- Produce emergency response talking points and communication resources for Spanish–speaking audiences in U.S., supporting increased engagement aligned with agency messaging.
- Provide strategic messaging guidance for the region; offer insight into narratives, stories and voices that elevate priority issues and country programs.
- Translate technical program information into clear, concise audience-appropriate language, and ensure accuracy and clarity of programmatic content.
Marketing for Regional Emergencies and Priority Programs
- Serve as the regional focal point for coordination on communications and strategy between regional leadership, country programs and cross-agency communications teams.
- Collaborate with G-REM’s content, creative and storytelling units to contribute priority regional content for engaging materials adapted for diverse audiences.
- Produce compelling content during regional crises or emergencies to support donor engagement and fundraising needs, with a focus on speed, impact and engagement.
- Establish systems that strengthen communications capacity across CRS and partner offices across the region.
- Contribute to planning, messaging, and execution of communications needs related to regional VIP visits.
- Produce high-quality marketing materials for the region that support priority objectives, including long-term campaigns and urgent needs.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to regional and country communications staff as needed.
- Support regional and country leadership in preparing communications for priority agency stakeholders.
- Coordinate & consult regularly with regional leadership to support strategic engagement that increase CRS’ visibility, brand recognition, and voice.
- Mentor and support country communications staff in content production, storytelling and priority communications work.
Cross Cutting
- Contribute to integrated planning processes to ensure marketing strategies reflect both agency-wide and regional priorities.
- Contribute materials that support global campaigns, strategic initiatives and cross-agency donor positioning efforts.
- Ensure all content meets CRS editorial standards, brand guidelines, style conventions and accessibility requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Catholic social teaching and structure of the Catholic Church, particularly the Hispanic community in the United States
- Solid understanding of a variety of audiences: Institutional donors, donor organizations, peer organizations, CRS global and field partnerships, the local and global Church
- Excellent written, oral communication skills
- Proficient skills in Adobe, InDesign, Canva or other graphic design platforms

- Demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of quality content under tight deadlines

Required Languages: Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 30%

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing/ communications or experience in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in communications, marketing, journalism or related field
- Experience working with international non-governmental organizations
- Proven experience writing for various content mediums such as print, digital, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in areas of development and humanitarian programming
- Overseas work experience
