Mission and objectives
UNICEF works to protect the rights of children and adolescents. UNICEF's programme focuses on the needs of the most vulnerable children in the areas of education, child protection, health care, social policy, adolescents and youth, in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.Context
UNICEF Türkiye Country Office (TCO)’s resource mobilization approach is firmly anchored in the Country Programme 2026 - 2030 as well as its Resource Mobilization Strategy, which emphasizes the strategic importance of building broad-based partnerships to advance child rights in the country. This includes actively engaging the government, the private sector, and civil society to mobilize increased investment and sustained commitment. TCO has adopted a strategic approach to private sector engagement, positioning businesses not only as donors, but also as critical partners in delivering services, driving innovation, and influencing social and environmental outcomes. To enhance financial sustainability and programmatic leverage, UNICEF will continue to diversify its funding base by securing more predictable financial support, as well as expand strategic engagement with the private sector to leverage resources of the private sector through various channels including Business Advisory Board (BAB). Leveraging national resources and strengthening relationships with the private sector in the market will remain central to UNICEF’s resource mobilization strategy in Türkiye. Engaging with the business as a key stakeholder is critical for achieving results at scale. In recent years, TCO has expanded its engagement with the private sector, broadening its portfolio of partnerships with companies supporting a range of sectors, including youth skills development, green competencies and Early Childhood Development (ECD). Currently, TCO is engaging with approximately 40 private companies, representing significant potential for future funding aligned with programme priorities.Task Description
