The candidate will support the implementation of the RESILIENCE program in the enhancement of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) capacity in Yap. This shall be accomplished through activities including but not limited to response planning, gathering information pertinent to response, trainings and workshops, prepositioning emergency relief supplies. S/he will provide support in post-disaster damage and other assessments and support coordination.
Assist the Programme in the coordination, implementation, monitoring, and timely reporting of programme activities and deliverables to ensure smooth project implementation and close adherence to the programme’s objectives and workplan.
Liaise and coordinate with government counterparts, community leaders, and partner organizations in order to support RESILIENCE activities in Yap
Conduct collection and verification of documents, data and other inputs, such as Geographical Information Systems, IDAs etc.
Organize and arrange program workshops, trainings, and/or focus group discussions during community engagements, demonstrate locally contextualized concepts in line with programme training materials and facilitate group conversations.
Monitor hazards and provide support for potential emergency response activities under the guidance of the Programme Manager.
Maintain program information required for reporting, compile and prepare project activity report through weekly, monthly and other ad-hoc reports.
Conduct monthly warehouse management through physical stock inventory process and identify appropriate stocks of pre- positioned stocks prior to disaster response and maintain regular inspection of stocks at the Warehouse.
Travel as necessary in order to conduct data collection, distributions, and support implementation of Project activities.
Conduct work in compliance with standard IOM’s policies and procedures, including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse and promotion of a respectful work environment.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned, from time to time, that are necessary in support of the Project deliverables.
Graduation from an accredited college with at least an Associate Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields plus 3 years of exceptional and professional work experience in Project Management is desirable.
An university degree with 5 years of work experience in Project Development and Management is advantageous.
