As the United Nations lead agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities, and to build resilience to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work is concentrated in three focus areas; sustainable development, democratic governance and peacebuilding, and climate and disaster resilience. UNDP’s mandate is to end poverty, build democratic governance, rule of law, and inclusive institutions. Task Description
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Unit for Climate Change and Environment Programme Unit the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: • Support baseline data collection, conduct interviews, draft minutes and reports. • Support stakeholder mapping, including government agencies, NGOs, communities and pri- vate sector partners. • Assist in preparing materials for stakeholder consultations and capacity-building workshops. • Document key insights from community engagement sessions and expert discussions. • Support the development of communication material such as infographics, fact sheets, base- line stories and social media posts. • Manage the calendar of various meetings for meetings, communication and monitoring activ- ities. • Prepare logistics for field missions • Assist in organizing workshops, and consultation meetings. • Any other duties as required by the office. • Support with the Monitoring and Evaluation of the project.Competencies and values

Living conditions in Timor-Leste vary, but generally, the country faces challenges related to poverty, limited economic opportunities, and access to essential services like quality education and healthcare. While poverty rates have decreased, a significant portion of the population still lives below the national poverty line.
