Mission and objectives
The Youth team is embedded in the Governance, Rule of Law and Peacebuilding Hub of UNDP. The team works across pillars, to promote youth empowerment and youth participation, and elevate voices of young people across the world, including in the field of climate action, peacebuilding, and digital action. Alongside the development of the forthcoming Progress Study on Youth Peace and Security (YPS), UNDP has developed a thematic paper entitled ''YPS and Electoral Processes in times of youth-led protests around the world’’. The paper explores how the YPS agenda can strengthen youth inclusive electoral and political processes, at a time when youth-led movements are reshaping civic participation through other, including digital, forms of engagement. The thematic paper has been cleared through internal quality assurance process and the online volunteer will edit and finalize the design of the thematic paper, in compliance with UNDP branding guidelines. The paper will ultimately be published on UNDP website and disseminated through our corporate social media platforms, including UNDP4Youth on Instagram.Context

The paper has been validated and cleared through internal quality assurance process, therefore there will not be alteration to the text. The assignment aims at finalizing the formatting of the document in compliance with UNDP branding requirements and have the paper ready for publication.Task Description
We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer who, under the guidance of UNDP Youth team and in close collaboration with the Partnerships and Branding teams of UNDP, will finalize the design of a thematic policy paper on Youth-led protests around the world. The paper is approximately 3,000 words long, and is in English. The design will be compliant with the UNDP branding guidelines which will be shared with the serving volunteer. The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the Youth team at UNDP.Competencies and values
