Rescue Mission for Street Life is a child protection organisation in Uganda, East Africa. We work with children in fragile settings - slums, street and refugee settings. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and transition these children into safety, health, family, education and livelihood. Over the years, we have supported 1500 children, and our model is play-based and caregiver-engaging.Context
Rescue Mission for Street Life is a child protection organisation in Uganda working with street-connected and vulnerable children through a structured trauma recovery model. To strengthen institutional sustainability and long-term impact, the organisation seeks to systematise its funding prospect identification process. Currently, funding research is conducted in a dispersed manner. A structured and prioritised funding prospect database will improve strategic outreach, reduce inefficiencies and strengthen long-term sustainability aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The Online Volunteer’s contribution will enhance organisational capacity for structured resource mobilisation and institutional strengthening.Task Description
We are looking for one Online Volunteer to develop a structured funding prospect mapping database. Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Online Volunteer will: • Identify relevant foundations, institutional donors and grant-making bodies aligned with child protection, trauma recovery, mental health or community development • Organise prospects into a structured database • Categorise prospects by funding size, geographic focus, thematic alignment and application deadlines • Develop a prioritisation framework to support strategic outreach • Deliver a clean, structured and editable database in Google Sheets or Excel format Final deliverable: One complete, structured and prioritised funding prospect database in editable format. All collaboration will take place online and materials will be shared electronically.Competencies and values
