About the Hiring GroupThe successful incumbent will join RTI International's Finance Business Partner and FP&A team with the CFO Organization. This position is based in RTP, NC and will report to Senior Manager, Finance. What You'll DoThis role provides broad-based financial support across the organization, partnering closely with Solutions and Growth Finance teams, Project leadership, and Executive and Operational functions. The position blends core accounting execution, project financial management, and financial analysis to support informed decision-making and strong financial stewardship across the Institute. Responsibilities Compile, analyze, and record financial information including journal entries, monthly adjustments, allocations, and management reports with minimal supervision and accountability for timely completion Support monthly close activities at both the business unit and corporate levels, including maintenance of project and task allocation lists across the organization Perform billing for corporate-level functions such as Legal, Commercialization, and other shared services Prepare complex account reconciliations and supporting financial analyses for management review Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Solutions and Growth, Operations, and executive functions to complete analysis, resolve issues, and deliver financial insights Provide functional support to Corporate FP&A, including ongoing financial analysis, profitability analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and evaluation of fee deviations Initiate and process project-related journal entries, review invoices, and support payment approvals Independently manage assigned responsibilities, assist with special projects, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the Finance team What You'll NeedMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience required or Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Relevant experience is defined as financial analysis work Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa sponsorship Skills and Abilities Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts Knowledge of US Government contractors, the Federal Acquisition Regulations a plus Ability to learn new systems and familiarity with accounting systems a plus Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to understand, present and convey financial information to non-financial staff Ability to provide clear, concise and sound guidance on project financial information to project leaders Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete tasks to best meet project needs Attention to detail and accuracy within context of institute policies Ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstration of the RTI Values and Lead Forward behaviors by all employees is critical to the Institute’s success.
