About the Hiring GroupRTI’s Office of Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst 2 to support financial management activities for research portfolios within the Institute. This early career role is ideal for individuals who are beginning their careers in financial analysis and are eager to develop their technical, analytical, and communication skills in a collaborative environment. What You'll DoIn this role, you will work with colleagues across functions to translate financial data into meaningful insights, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and contribute to effective project reporting. ResponsibilitiesAssist in the analysis of project financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis on larger projectsOwn small to medium complexity projects for financial analysisIdentify financial trends and develop insights for internal reporting and decision-makingLearn and begin building proficiency in RTI’s financial systems, tools, and processes, including indirect cost ratesSupport the development and review of project financial reports and ensure data accuracyCollaborate with colleagues across functions to communicate project insightsAssist with proposal/project/process portfolio financial management as assignedParticipate in monthly financial reviews with team members under guidanceContribute to process improvement efforts within the team What You'll NeedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field2–3 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or related fieldLead with curiosityStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret dataClear and concise written and verbal communicationFluency in MS Excel (incl vlookup, xlookup, sumif), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States. RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant.
