POSITION OVERVIEW
The IRC’s has been implementing Early Childhood Development (ECD) programming across West Bank and Gaza for almost 2 years and is looking for a candidate who will drive IRC’s overall Education in Emergencies and ECD programming across the occupied Palestinian Territory.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Programs (DDP), the ECD Coordinator will serve as the project lead, working closely with IRC technical and operations teams and partners to provide technical direction, leadership for design, content creation, implementation of high quality, inclusive and safe learning programming for young children.
The Coordinator will ensure timely and high quality deliverables, reporting, working closely with partners to ensure shared capacity building and implementation of ECD programming. The Coordinator will engage with other sectors including Protection ,and potentially other sectors as relevant to ensure integration where feasible to build inclusive programming for children between 0 – 8 years old As education programming expands, the Coordinator will lead the scaling of education interventions, ensuring coherence across ECD and primary education initiatives. ensuring alignment with the education cluster and relevant authorities.
The ECD coordinator will travel between West Bank and Gaza with travel to Amman, Jordan as relevant.
