Job Description

 

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Officer with strong organizational and coordination skills, capable of managing day-to-day logistics and procurement activities in a fast-paced operational environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to compliance with organizational and donor regulations, while effectively supporting programme implementation through timely and efficient logistics services.

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Implement delegated logistic functions portfolio according to Plan of Action.
  • Conduct and follow up daily operational logistic activities. 
  • Support the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved within set budgets, timelines, and standards.
  • Support in development of SOPs as requested.
  • Ensure proper filing of all support documents.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring the fulfilment of the procurement process in line with NRC handbooks and SOPs and donor SOPs and regulations.
  • Responsible for helping maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for regularly purchased items, and information about local market conditions.
  • Responsible for ensuring supporting documentation is prepared and submitted in line with NRC SOPs and NRCs Securing Supporting Documentation SOP.
  • Consult, liaise and update in a timely manner with the relevant programme departments regarding delivery of supplies, keeping all parties informed of any changes.
  • Responsible for ensuring Unit4 Procurement (NRC Procurement system) is maintained and is available for distribution to managers on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring that procurement files are completed and prepared for timely payments of procured goods and services.
  • Responsible to maintain an accurate and up-to-date Procurement Tracker/ Unit4 (status of PO/PR/Contracts /Waivers).

Generice Professional Competencies:

  • Experience from working as a logistic officer in a humanitarian/recovery context.

  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.

  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.

  • Good communication & interpersonal skills are required.

 

Context Related Skills, Knowledge And Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or any related fields.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics or procurement management 

  • Professional level of English and Arabic, Hebrew is an asset. 

  • Previous knowledge of logistics operations, procurement processes, asset management, and fleet management.

  • Experience in compliance with organizational and donor requirements and maintaining high standards of accountability.

  • Contract Duration: 6 months renewable, based on the need of position, fund and performance.
