Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners. IOM Zimbabwe is recognized by the Government of Zimbabwe (GoZ) as the principal international inter-governmental organization addressing the entire spectrum of migration issues. IOM has been operational in Zimbabwe since 1985, and Zimbabwe became a Member State of IOM in 2002. In line with IOM’s global strategy, IOM Zimbabwe works in advancing migration policy and practice while addressing humanitarian and development challenges of migration. It does so together with governmental, intergovernmental and civil society partners through well-informed, coordinated and protection-centred actions. The areas of IOM intervention in the country include: humanitarian response and recover, migration management, migration health services, movements assistance and migration protection as well as migration data
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission, the Information Management Coordinator will be responsible forcompilation of data, information analysis and report designing within the framework of IOM Strengthening Human Rights Monitoringand Protection Project in Zimbabwe
Support in developing a comprehensive data management system with effective data collection, storage and sharing workflows and effective measures for implementing data protection and data governance mechanisms.
Collect, analyse and present data to meet project reporting needs. This includes the design and layout of reports and assisting in maintaining quality data structures for the analysis of data, use of proper statistical analyses, and implementing visualization best practices in created content through Tableau software.
Supervise the information management staff.
Implementation information management activities in accordance with Information Technology and Communication (ITC) Policies and Standards.
Support to implement the regional ECHO project(s) on anticipatory action coordinating with the relevant country offices and with regional and global data support teams to continue reviewing and strengthening the data management systems.
Support engagement with other stakeholders such as government, UN partners and others to contribute to identifying synergies , facilitate data collection, and keep information up to date and relevant. This includes participating in related interagency groups.
Work with the team to create visually engagent infographics, using established tools and formats.
Support the effective project implementation; support regular monitoring as per agreed timelines; prepare project status and progress reports.
Contribute to timely preparation and generation of local level information products and support on information sharing and dissemination to all relevant channels.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations related to the project and mission needs.Identify gaps on data and information relevant to the programme implementation and contribute to the preparation of project proposals aiming to address such needs.

Education
Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Media or Social Sciences or a related field froman accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience
Experience
- Proven experience on the use of " Data Analysis tools, such as Power Bi, Tableau Software";
- Experience in Information Management, management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analysing data to generate information products;
- Expertise in graphic design software and cutting-edge technologies, preferably with design
- Knowledge of infographics programs such as info. Gram, Canva, etc. is an asset.
- Excellent design skills, including typography, layout, color theory,etc.
- Demonstrated experience skillfully using presentation software such as Adobe lnDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Keynote.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest technological developments in information technology and information system;
- Proven skills to analyse statistical information;
- Ability to formulate JM-relatedtechnical requirements and Operating Procedures;
- Ability to translate planning-specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis, and vice versa;
- Ability to compileand holistically analyse diversedatasets;
- Experience with handling confidential data;
- Demonstrated team-building and information management skills;
- Demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies;
- Experience in advanced data visualization and information designskills.
