This is a fixed-term appointment with an initial duration of 4 years. Depending upon performance and organisational needs, the appointment may be extended up to a possible maximum duration of 8 years. Any appointment to this position will begin no earlier than 1 January 2026.

Resource Controller, reporting to the Head of the Resource Management and Control Office in the Management Support Office, Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality (D/TEC).
Reporting directly to the Head of the Resource Management and Control Office, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the Directorate and the management of its resources. You will support the Directorate’s decision-making regarding programmatic, resource deployment and business management processes. In carrying out your responsibilities, you will work closely with a committed team of controllers and administrators, interfacing with the Directorate’s Management Team and the Management Support Office.
You will play a key a role in the development, consolidation and oversight of workforce and workload planning. Operating at the interface between operational planning, financial control and corporate coordination, you will drive the evolution of workforce-related systems and processes, enabling data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and corporate functions (Corporate Control, Workforce Management, Human Resources, Procurement, Finance and IT) to ensure the integrity of workforce data, the effectiveness of planning cycles and the compliance of resource management practices.

A master's degree in business administration or another relevant domain is required for this post.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
Applicants must be eligible to access information, technology, and hardware which is subject to European or US export control and sanctions regulations & eligible to acquire the security clearance by their national security administrations.
During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency's security procedures.
