Job Description :
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was founded in 1967 with the purpose of promoting regional cooperation in Southeast Asia, in the spirit of equality and partnership and thereby contribute towards peace, progress and prosperity in the region. ASEAN comprises eleven countries in Southeast Asia, with Timor-Leste being admitted as an ASEAN Member State during the 47th ASEAN Summit on 26 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was proclaimed a Community through the “Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN 2025: Forging Ahead Together”, signed by the ASEAN Leaders during their 27th Summit 2015. The ASEAN Community Vision 2025 calls for the ASEAN Community in forging ahead together, and to work towards building a community that is politically cohesive, economically integrated and socially responsible.

The ASEAN Secretariat was established in 1976 by the Foreign Minister of ASEAN with basic functions of providing greater efficiency in the coordination of ASEAN organs and for more effective implementation of ASEAN projects and activities. It is also envisioned to be the nerve centre of a strong and confident ASEAN Community that is globally respected for acting in full compliance with its Charter and in the best interest of its people.

In alignment with the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and Strategic Plans of the three ASEAN pillars of Political-Security Community, Economic Community and Socio-Cultural Community, and ASEAN Connectivity, and supported by the Department of Community and Corporate Affairs, the ASEAN Secretariat is inviting Indonesian citizens or ASEAN nationals who are already residing and eligible to work in Indonesia to apply for the position of System and Network Security Officer for Information Technology Systems Division (ITSD), Community and Corporate Affairs Department.  


Remuneration and Benefits:
Successful candidate will be offered a basic salary of IDR 16,835,950 and attractive remuneration package including monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical reimbursement, hospitalisation & life insurance, annual bonus of a month’s basic salary, and gratuity. Subject to good performance during the probation, the candidate will be offered a fixed term contract of three (3) years, inclusive of the 6-month probationary period.

Responsibilities
  1. Reporting to the Assistant Director/Head and Senior Officer of the Information Technology Systems Division, the Officer shall be responsible to:

    1.    Infrastructure and Systems Administration

    • Administer and monitor on-premises servers (Windows/Linux).
    • Administer and manage on premise VM and storage system running on VMware, Hyper-V or other platform.
    • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, User Accounts and Distribution List
    • Manage UPS and Data Center facilities related to servers and networking.
    • Configure VLANs, switches, and Access Point controllers
    • Manage high availability and redundancy of core network devices
    • Administer and manage ASEC’s domain name system.

    2.    Cloud and Backup Management

    • Administer ASEC’s Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including VM, storage, network components and security controls.
    • Manage Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) services.
    • Monitor backup and its data integrity verification (cloud and on-premises). 

    3. Security and Compliance

    • Manage firewall systems (on premise and cloud based), endpoint protection, and network security appliances.
    • Apply OS, application, and security patches regularly.
    • Monitor and respond to security alerts, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
    • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies.

    4.  Troubleshooting and Support

    • Provide 2nd-level technical support for server, network, and cloud-related incidents.
    • Troubleshoot access issues, email flow, spam email and system/application connectivity.
    • Liaise with vendors, consultants, and service providers for escalated support. 
Qualifications
    • Advanced degree in Information Technology or an appropriate related field; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum two (2) years relevant work experience in technical role.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the relevant area especially in Cloud and Cybersecurity and ability to acquire them.
    • Proven skills in problem solving in a complex organisational environment and in work planning.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor and review policy and procedures.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and workflows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
    • Sound oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
    • Competency in IT, Network and Cloud Administrative skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Applications and Infrastructures, Azure Platforms, Backup Applications and Systems  where relevant to the position.
    • Sound command of English, written and spoken.
    • Possess any IT certified certification is an advantage.
