Job Summary:
The Health Informatics Specialist will provide technical support to staff and project and will lead the design and implementation of activities focusing on enhancing health information systems for the STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) activity in Kenya. S/He will work towards strengthening surveillance and health data systems in close collaboration with government partners. This will include digitalization of surveillance data, increasing interoperability and data sharing across sectors, improving health data analytics and data visualization, geospatial mapping, and enhancing alert generation, among other aspects. She/he will collaborate closely with the project MEL Officer in the generation of health analytics to support STRIDES MEL reporting. S/He will work closely with the STRIDES project country and Headquarter (HQ) teams to coordinate on the technical aspects of surveillance and health informatics system activities.
