We are looking for a proactive, collaborative, analytical, and results-oriented Senior Specialist or Specialist to support the Strategic Operational Quality Revision Division (SQR), providing technical advice and support to IDB teams in order to ensure quality at entry for sovereign-guaranteed (SG) operations on areas related to public sector strengthening and reform, and capital markets and financial institutions.
You will work in the Strategic Operational Quality Revision Division (SQR), which is part of the Office of Strategic Planning and Development Effectiveness (SPD). SPD is responsible for providing technical guidance to develop a culture of results within the Bank, and to help the Bank innovate its core business and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of its products and methods over time.
As part of SPD, the Strategic Operational Quality Revision Division (SQR) is responsible for:
Education: Master's degree or equivalent education in economics, public policy, business administration, or areas/fields relevant to the Bank's operations.
Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant experience for a Senior Specialist position or four (4) years of relevant experience for a Specialist position working in the design, preparation, and supervision of IDB or other Multilateral Development Bank operations, preferably on capital markets and financial institutions. Familiarity with a range of sovereign financing instruments is highly desirable.
The following additional experience will be valued:
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
