The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Information Systems Directorate (GIS), Data & Information Solutions Department (DIS), Data Management Division (DM) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Head of Data Management Division*. This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. This is a full-time position at grade 7 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Are you ready to lead one of the most critical transformations in the EIB Group’s digital journey? As Head of Data Management, you will shape and deliver the vision that moves the organisation from traditional on-premises data systems to a modern, cloud-enabled, AI-powered data ecosystem.
This role is about more than managing platforms — it’s about redefining how the EIB Group harnesses data. You will set the strategy, lead execution, and inspire teams across the organisation to see data not just as an asset, but as a driver of innovation, efficiency, and impact.
You will build and govern next-generation data platforms — data warehouses, data lakes, real-time analytics— ensuring that they deliver high-quality, trusted, and actionable insights. This strategy will empower better decision-making, enhance data quality, boost our technology capabilities, and drive efficiency gains—all while helping the EIBG’ business achieve its objectives.
The Data Management Division’s role is to manage a common foundation of high-quality data to facilitate optimal, secure, and compliant solutions across business areas. This includes managing and governing data collection, reporting, dashboarding, analytics to benefit business services.
The Head of Division reports to the Head of Data Information Solution Department and work closely with the other Heads of Divisions in GIS, with business users who are involved in projects and initiatives led by the Division.
