This position will work in FHI 360’s Middle East, Eastern Europe, West Africa, the "MEEWA" Hub but based in one of the country offices likely supporting the francophone countries. The position reports to the CFO office. The MEEWA Hub coordinates the enterprise services and program management needs of all projects within the Middle East, Easter Europe and West Africa region.
The position supports all accounting functions, including month end close processes, bank account reconciliations and cash management to support the fiscal well-being of the projects within the West Africa, Eastern Europe and Middle East Regional Office. The position will also support the yearly audit of FHI 360 for the MEEWA region and OHADA audit for the West Africa francophone countries. The position will provide guidance on labor allocation, shared costs allocation, balance sheet and bank account reconciliation, all related to the monthly accounting close. Responds to audit inquiries and assists in trainings. Serves as a critical member of the Hub office finance team serving the country offices in a support role. He/ She will also serve as the Audit POC for the MEEWA Hub.
