Welthungerhilfe's Head Office is in Bonn, Germany whilst the Syria Response is managed from our Country Office in Gaziantep. Welthungerhilfe was established in Turkey in 2013 specifically to help people who are affected by the Syria Crisis. Since then, the organization has expanded its program scope and scale to make the greatest possible contribution to meeting humanitarian needs in Turkey and Northwest Syria. Welthungerhilfe has field offices in Azaz, Afrin Idleb, as well as Ankara, Istanbul, Hatay and Mardin. The Syria Response program includes food security, WASH services, Shelter and NFI services, protection, early recovery and livelihood.

The position can also be filled with an unlimited contract duration if the employee shows an appropriate period of employment. Employment/Service location will be Damascus / Syria. The position is paid according to Salary Group 6, with a monthly salary of USD 1440, as this position is equivalent to Officer level.
Responsibilities:
• Provide daily support to the Expert Finance Administrator according to assigned tasks.
• Monitor Partners financial reporting and cash projections, provide with the analysis of the burn rates as linked with the project implementation by the partner organization under the supervision of the Finance Expert.
• Ensure voucher quality control and prepare supporting documentation.
• Conduct regular visits to partner organizations for financial reviews and document checks.
• update daily transactions to the financial software with correct data including standard descriptions
• monitor bank balances regularly and keep the balance within one month forecast.
• implementing cost allocation methodologies and ensuring compliance with Welthungerhilfe guidelines.
• enter partner reports on time in FundsPro.
• Replace the cashier during their absence.
• Ensure all accounting activities of the organization are archived properly in compliance with WHH rules in physical and on soft copy.
• Support internal audits and build partner organizations' capacity.
• Undertake field visits to project locations in Syria as requested.
In addition to the above, the Accountnat may be asked to carry out other duties as requested by the supervisors and line managers.
Qualifications:
• Require a university degree or equivalent training in accounting, controlling, or a related field.
• Require at least 3 years of experience in co-financed project administration.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage workloads efficiently.
• An very good knowledge of English and Arabic language skills are a must.
• High mental and physical resilience and willingness to travel frequently.
