Introduction :

Description of the Assignment: C.1.1 Learning and knowledge generation consultant, SDG local action

Country: Home-based

Duration of initial contract: 6 months

Starting date (date when the selected candidate is expected to start):1 June 2024

The purpose of consultancy is to generate content and knowledge on the cities and local governments contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. Reporting to the Advisor, cities and local governments, UN SDG Action Campaign, the consultant will organize exchanges between local governments around innovative themes, contributing to knowledge generation about how cities are developing new inclusive public services to achieve the SDGs targets and indicators

UNDP is looking to select a consultant to conduct the following activities:

1. Design, plan and organise webinars and other learning activities to collect experiences and learn from local governments implementing the SDGs.

2. Elaborate knowledge assets, including web articles, infographics and data about human impact stories, good case studies, project success, challenges and innovative models.

3. Elaborate communication assets of the UNDP SDG Local Action in Spanish and English, including the monthly newsletter.

4. Identify city experiences worldwide, analyze public policies and share technical expertise to the UNDP beneficiary cities globally.

5. Write guidelines and policy recommendations, addressed to local governments and their associations. Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
