The Management Department promotes effective Operations of the Joint Programme, and provides overarching management functions in the areas of human resources, finance, budget, information technology and administration to enhance UNAIDS' capacity to implement its mandate and vision.

Within the Management Department, the Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) team ensures that information technology is a strategic enabler of the vision of Getting to Zero, and contributes to the transition from managing a disease to ending an epidemic. The DTS team makes possible new ways of collaboration, enables evidence-based decision making, facilitates greater sharing of knowledge and provides new tools to reach out and communicate with our key stakeholders and constituencies. To play this important role, the department is an agent of change, contributing to making UNAIDS work fast, smart and efficiently. Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position:
Reporting to the Team Lead, Digital Solutions, the Officer, Digital Solutions:

1. Engages with business partners to understand their digital needs:

Review requests from business partners from all regions for new projects and solutions.
Partner with colleagues to explore business requirements and conduct business analysis as necessary to recommend optimal solutions aligned to the Digital Strategy.
Assess functionality of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and new technologies within the context of business requirements and the Digital Strategy, recommending appropriate usage taking into account cybersecurity risks.
Prepare project initiation documents for prioritized projects.
Define, plan, design, and improving the ICT services, technology infrastructure, architecture and roadmaps in support to the key business needs including UN agency partners requirements.

2. Implements digital solutions:

Manage projects and activities from the digital project portfolio and ensure delivery of efficient business solutions, managing budget, procurement processes and resources assigned to the project.
Participate in projects and activities as business analyst or technical expert.
Lead and coordinate the implementation of new solutions including training, change management, communication, and integration.

3. Contributes to optimal use of digital solutions in UNAIDS:

Provides training to staff on new technologies and solutions.
Keeps abreast of technological developments and contributes to communities of practice and exploratory or innovative initiatives.
Participates in the development of digital policies and standards.
Provides technical expert advice and guidance to the IT operations team in managing the global infrastructure including support in problem-solving and remediation.
Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Essential:
Advanced university degree at the master's level or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. For internal candidates, a first university degree is accepted with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Competencies:

6. Exercising Sound Judgement Experience:
Essential
At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, participation in software implementation projects from start to finish, implementation of digital solutions on an international level. Technical background and experience in: project management, implementation of standards software solutions preferably SaaS solutions, business analysis, system integration, data migration/analytics and training of users.

Desirable
Broad IT experience in several areas (ERP, infrastructure, applications, information management, service management, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cloud environments). Experience with Workday or SalesForce implementations. Change management experience in implementation of new digital solutions. Project management certification. Languages:
Essential: Advanced knowledge of English.
Desirable: Working knowledge of another UN official language. Annual salary: (Net of tax)
USD 64,121 at single rate Post Adjustment: 41.1 % of the figure(s) on the left side. This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
