Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS)

OHRLLS is the UN office responsible for supporting the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Its role is primarily policy, advocacy, coordination and partnership-building. Rather than delivering large-scale programmes directly, OHRLLS works across the UN system and with governments, development partners, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector to ensure that the specific needs and vulnerabilities of these three groups of countries are reflected in the global development agenda.

OHRLLS supports implementation and follow-up of key frameworks including the Doha Programme of Action for the LDCs, the Vienna Programme of Action for LLDCs, and the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS.
