African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank)

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is a multilateral financial institution that finances and promotes intra-African and extra-African trade. It provides trade finance, project and export development finance, trade facilitation and advisory services. African governments, African private and institutional investors, and non-African financial institutions and investors established the Bank in Abuja, Nigeria, in October 1993. Its headquarters is in Cairo, Egypt. Its membership includes more than 50 African states and a growing number of Caribbean states, and it has regional offices in Africa and the Caribbean.
