Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Head of Resources Management, and in close coordination with the Regional Information and Communications Technology Officer in the Regional Office (RO) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology at Headquarters (HQ), the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Officer will supervise and manage the ICT in IOM Iraq ensuring effective delivery of ICT services across the Country Office (CO).
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or
Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Experience in overseeing the implementation and administration of Microsoft Windows and Serverless environment (LAN/WAN) and first-level network/desktop support in a large international organization;
Experience in supervising and managing ICT functions in an international organization or agency in a field setting; supporting emergency, complex/post-conflict Country Office operations;
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in cybersecurity compliance and security control implementation and maintenance, cybersecurity incident response and recovery. Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365 cloud-based applications and technologies; and,
Experience in advising senior managers on systems development in a changing business environment including the implications of various alternatives on business applications planned for future needs and other related issues.

Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of Arabic and another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
