DRC Syria

DRC has been operating in Syria since 2008, initially responding to the Iraqi refugee crisis before pivoting to a full-scale response to the Syria crisis from 2011 onwards. Our work encompasses the full cycle of displacement—responding to life-saving humanitarian needs and supporting community recovery until durable solutions can be achieved. DRC Syria takes an area-based approach to supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities across our key sectors: Economic Recovery and Resilience, Protection, WASH, Shelter and Infrastructure, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (including Humanitarian Mine Action).

With an established rapid response mechanism, DRC can rapidly respond to emerging crises and shocks to meet acute emergency needs. Recognizing the significant need for early recovery and resilience programming to ensure dignified, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for fragile communities, DRC’s programmes foster resilience for individuals and communities in situations of protracted displacement and during the initial stages of post-conflict recovery, towards a durable solution of their choice. With active portfolios in the neighboring countries of Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye and Iraq, DRC offers a cross-border, regional response to the Syria crisis, through cross-border protection monitoring, advocacy, and trends analysis

About the job

To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout DRC buildings by ensuring deep cleaning of the building and keeping all areas neat and tidy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mop/sweep floors, stairs, balconies; twice a week.
• Clean the bathrooms and the sinks, twice a week.
• Clean windows (internal side) and windows frames, glass partitions, and glass doors; weekly or monthly
• Dust all furniture and rub surfaces (desks, side tables, bookshelves, filling cabinets, chairs); twice a week.
• Clean IT equipment lightly to remove dust, twice a week.
• Empty trash bins and change plastic bags, twice a week.
• Clean the refrigerator and the cook, twice a week.
• Share with the Admin Officer cleaning materials list that are required on a monthly basis.
• Identify and report possible repair/s.
• Take care of all household items and maintain good use of them all. Example; flowers.
• Clear garbage from the premises each day of work
• Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
• Act as back up in absence of other DRC cleaners.

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

• 1-2 previous experiences as a cleaner/Office Tea-person
• Basic English proficiency
• Fluent in Local Language
• Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and proactivity.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• The ability to follow health and safety standards.
• Previous experience in international organizations or/ UN Agencies organizations is an added advantage.

ملخص عن العمل

تنظيف مباني المجلس الدنماركي للاجئين وفقاً لمعايير نظافة عالية وضمان تنظيف المباني بشكل كامل والمحافظة على الترتيب.

المهام والمسؤوليات

• شطف\مسح الدرج، الأرضيات، والشرفات مرتين في الأسبوع.
• تنظيف الحمامات والمغاسل مرتين في الأسبوع.
• تنظيف النوافذ (من الداخل) وإطار النوافذ والأبواب والفواصل الزجاجية مرة في الأسبوع.
• مسح الغبار عن الأثاث وتنظيف الأسطح (المكاتب والطاولات الجانبية والرفوف والخزانات والمقاعد) مرتين في الأسبوع.
• تنظيف معدات التقانة لإزالة الغبار مرتين في الأسبوع.
• إفراغ سلات المهملات وتغيير أكياس النايلون مرتين في الأسبوع.
• تنظيف البراد والفرن مرتين في الأسبوع.
• مشاركة قائمة بمواد التنظيف المطلوبة بشكل شهري مع فريق الشؤون الإدارية.
• تحديد الأعطال اللازم إصلاحها والإبلاغ عنها.
• الاعتناء بكافة الموجودات في المنزل والمحافظة عليها (كالنباتات المنزلية، مثلاُ).
• التخلص من النفايات بشكل يومي.
• القيام بالمسؤوليات الإضافية حسب الحاجة.
• الحلول محل عاملي التنظيف الآخرين عند الضرورة.

مطلوب:

الخبرة والكفاءات الفنية:

• خبرة بين عام إلى عامين في مجال التنظيف.
• معرفة أساسية باللغة الأنجليزية.
• إتقان اللغة العربية.
• النزاهة والصراحة والمبادرة.
• القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وبإشراف محدود.
• القدرة على الالتزام بمعايير الصحة والسلامة.
• الخبرة سابقة في العمل ضمن المنظمات الدولية أو وكالات الأمم المتحدة تعد من الميزات.

التعليم:

• شهادة تعليم ثانوي

اللغات:

• إتقان العربية ومعرفة أساسية بالإنجليزية
