Do you want to work in an organisation where your input directly impacts the health of our oceans? The Secretariat of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) is seeking a Senior Russian Language Translator to join our team based in Hobart.
About the Role:
In this dynamic role, you'll deliver high-quality translations to and from Russian while leading and coordinating an expert external translation pool. You'll bring both linguistic excellence and operational confidence to the table — managing competing deadlines, maintaining quality standards, and drawing on the latest translation technologies.
You will be responsible for overseeing the full Russian translation workflow — from recruiting and coordinating specialist consultants during peak periods, to developing and maintaining translation memories and terminology glossaries. Working in close partnership with the Communications Manager, you'll oversee all Russian translation tasks, ensuring every document and report is delivered on time, to the highest standard, and within agreed budgets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a translation professional who is equally at home with the craft of language and the discipline of project management.
