JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Director of Development (ADOD) manages and grows a portfolio of strategic corporate partnerships within CARE’s Food and Agriculture portfolio. This role leads partnership strategy, contributes to revenue generation, and ensures high-quality execution, while maintaining an annual fundraising target for the department. The ADOD advances corporate engagement in sustainable food systems, climate resilience, and regenerative agriculture by aligning CARE’s programs with corporate ESG and sourcing priorities. Working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders, the ADOD manages key partnerships with increasing independence, supports revenue growth, and contributes to long-term partnership development and impact. RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Management & Partnership Leadership Serve as the primary relationship manager for General Mills and Starbucks, leading partnership strategy and day-to-day engagement for program/partnership success Support management of complex, multi-stakeholder partnership programs contributing to partner engagement, reporting, and delivery Lead and support partner communications, including check-ins, presentations, and strategic discussions Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of partnership commitments across multiple stakeholders and geographies Build and maintain strong partner relationships to support retention, satisfaction, and long-term engagemen Proactively identify partner priorities and emerging areas of interest to strengthen alignment and engagement strategies Partnership Strategy, Planning & Reporting Lead development and execution of annual partnership plans, integrating programmatic priorities, deliverables, and success metrics Manage and oversee partnership reporting processes, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and internal requirements Translate programmatic data and country-level inputs into clear, compelling partner-facing reports and impact narratives Synthesize insights from partner engagement, program results, and internal data to inform partnership positioning and future opportunities Track partnership performance and contribute insights to inform strategy and continuous improvement Support and/or lead quarterly and annual account reviews Business Development & Partnership Growth Identify and support opportunities to expand partnerships, including renewals, funding increases, and new initiatives Contribute to growth opportunities across partnerships through idea generation and proposal development Support development of pitch materials and presentations aligned with corporate priorities such as ESG, sustainable sourcing, and climate resilience Contribute to achieving an annual fundraising target of approximately $500,000 through renewals and partnership expansion Contribute to shaping partnership “asks” by aligning program opportunities with partner priorities and internal feasibility Support broader Food & Agriculture corporate partnerships pipeline and strategic positioning efforts Cross-Functional Coordination & Operations Coordinate across internal teams (country offices, programs, marketing, finance) to deliver on partnership commitments Facilitate alignment across global stakeholders and multi-country initiatives Strengthen internal systems and workflows related to reporting, tracking, and partner communications Anticipate and troubleshoot bottlenecks across internal processes to maintain momentum on partnership deliverables and opportunities Serve as a connector across teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment between technical, fundraising, and operational stakeholders Ensure accurate tracking of partnership data, deliverables, and communications in Salesforce Ensure timely submission of invoices, payments, and required documentation Ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements
