In this full time, permanent role based in Shepparton, you’ll lead teams that deliver our community based early childhood and youth justice programs in the region. Reporting to the Director of VIC, SA, TAS and NSW, you’ll be a key member of our leadership team in Victoria to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

You will make a difference by:

• Overseeing delivery, quality assurance, evaluation and reporting across a range of child, youth and family programs including a kindergarten.
• Leading and supporting program teams through supervision, capability development and performance management across the full employee lifecycle
• Identifying and pursuing partnership, growth and business development opportunities, including potential collaborations
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with government, community and sector stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, early issue identification and timely resolution
• Proactively identify, manage and monitor risks relating to service delivery, quality, staff wellbeing and child safeguarding

You’re proactive, creative and flexible in your approach to supporting teams and understand the importance of working with families and children driven by a trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally sensitive approach. Your knowledge of early childhood, youth and family support programming will allow you to make well informed decisions and lead with impact.

This role requires:

• Qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field, or significant relevant experience
• Significant experience leading teams a variety of teams in the children and family’s sector in Australia
• A genuine passion to support and manage a high-performing team to meet and exceed objectives and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
• Proven experience managing budgets and developing reports
• Experience working with First Nations families and communities
• Proven experience with complex strategic planning, program management and delivery
• Experience in stakeholder management including contract management
• Current driver’s licence
