    Introduction

    Post Title: Research Consultant -Women’s Judicial Leadership in Southeast Asia

    Project/Agency: Rule of Law, Human Rights and Security Unit, UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub

    Country of Assignment: Home based, No travel required.

    Duration of Assignment: 50 days (June-September 2026)

    UNDP serves as a global knowledge leader for sustainable development, supporting countries to achieve the SDGs through integrated policy and technical expertise. Through its Global Policy Network and regional initiatives, UNDP promotes governance, rule of law, and gender equality. In Asia-Pacific, efforts focus on advancing women’s leadership in the judiciary, addressing barriers such as bias and limited promotion opportunities. Through research, dialogues, and partnerships, UNDP fosters inclusive justice systems and regional collaboration. This initiative will analyze women’s judicial leadership in six Southeast Asian countries, generate evidence-based insights, and provide recommendations to strengthen policies, programs, and regional networks promoting gender-responsive justice systems.
