We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Finance & Grants Manager to play a critical role in strengthening financial stewardship and enabling high-impact programming. This role is open to: Myanmar nationals who will be hired on a local national contract. Candidates based in any country where CARE USA operates , who are eligible to work under a national contract in their country of residence, with the ability and willingness to travel to Myanmar as required. About the Role This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for financial management, grants oversight, and partnership finance for CARE’s Myanmar operations. Working remotely, you will ensure strong financial controls, high-quality reporting, and full compliance with donor and organisational requirements. You will act as a key partner to program teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders—supporting effective fund management, strengthening partner capacity, and ensuring resources are used efficiently to deliver impact where it is needed most. What You Will Do Strengthen Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure robust financial systems and internal controls that minimize risk and ensure accountability Support compliance with CARE and donor policies, contracts, and procedures Lead audit preparation processes and proactively address audit findings Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and adherence to policies Lead Grants Management Oversee the full grants lifecycle—from agreement review to financial reporting Ensure timely, accurate donor reporting and compliance with all grant requirements Coordinate budget revisions, fund requests, and financial documentation Provide financial insights and analysis to support program decision-making Drive continuous improvement in grant financial management and reporting systems Oversee Partnership Finance Lead partner due diligence, funding agreements, and financial monitoring processes Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting from partners Support partners in budgeting, planning, and financial management Build partner capacity through targeted training and support Monitor fund flows, cash projections, and financial risks across partnerships Manage Financial Operations & Risk Oversee fund flows, including international transfers through Financial Service Providers Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through strong monitoring systems Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting Lead and Develop Teams Supervise, mentor, and build the capacity of finance and awards staff Deliver training to staff and partners on financial compliance and grant management Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture Who You Are You are a detail-oriented and solutions-driven finance professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
