In this full-time, maximum term (2 year) contract role, you’ll work remotely from home as a part of our Climate Change Division, to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Climate Resilient Construction Advisor plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. You will apply advanced technical expertise to large-scale, complex climate investments, influencing project design, quality, compliance and impact across diverse contexts, contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.
You will make a difference by:
· Providing technical leadership & coordination for construction components of our climate change portfolio
· Overseeing and supporting monitoring of construction activities and portfolios, ensuring programme quality, delivery performance and value for money
· Developing, maintaining and promoting the uptake of construction technical standards, quality frameworks, guidance, tools and resources
· Design and deliver capacity building & professional development for construction focal points
· Lead risk Management, Compliance & Incident Management for construction programmes

This role requires:
· Construction Technical Expertise: Strong technical proficiency in construction methodologies, design principles, project management and supervision, including sustainable and climate‑responsive construction.
· Risk, Quality & Performance Management: Strong capability to identify and manage delivery risks, apply quality, safety and regulatory standards, and use monitoring and performance data to drive adaptive management, problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
· Coordination, Collaboration & Inclusion: Proven ability to work effectively across multi-cultural teams, sectors and geographies, with commitment to equity, inclusion and respectful engagement with staff, partners and communities.
· Capacity Building & Mentoring: Skills in mentoring, coaching and capacity strengthening of national and international staff to improve construction quality and delivery.
