Join us as an IT Officer where you will play a pivotal role in supporting ITER IT ecosystem and deliver IT solutions to production. Your contribution will empower 15 000 users worldwide working together to achieve the ITER project.

Depending on the scope of activity, your goals may include:

Designing and developing cutting-edge AI solutions that can help ITER automate business processes and improve productivity.
Collaborating with engineers to support ITER construction through impactful AI projects.
Contributing to the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure: datacenters, central systems, working environment, network, telecommunications / videoconferencing and cybersecurity
Configuring, customizing or administrating our IT project tools solutions (ITER Collaborative Platform (ICP), CAD/Digital Plant, ERP, Scheduling, Collaboration and Communication, etc.)

Typical Key Duties and Responsibilities

Designs, develops, deploys and maintains AI solutions suited to project requirements to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and boost overall productivity across the organization.
Preprocesses and analyses data and train/fine-tune AI models.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Monitors deployed systems, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements as needed.
Coordinates IT projects and executes the implementation from conceptual state to full production
Supports the digitalization of end-to-end business processes by implementing solutions through configuration or customization on our projects tools with innovative ideas and proposals on automation, compatible with the existing or planned IT infrastructure
Provides infrastructure service with focus on security, scalability and performance;
Stays current with advancements in AI and related technologies. Promote and share AI skills within the organization.

Experience, Competencies and Knowledge

Essential:

Experience (incl. internship) in elements of design, development, deployment and maintenance of IT solutions suited to project requirements.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Applying or implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts with good understanding of different AI models and algorithms, hands-on experience with model training, fine-tuning and serving
Software Development: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle including specification, production, testing, and deployment.
Systems Administration: Knowledge of IT servers, network, database, telecommunications, or security administration.
Programming skills: Excellent programming skills (Python, C# or similar language).

Strong interest in AI and new technologies, transforming concepts into solutions.

Interpersonal Savy: Ability to develop effective relationships with others, including excellent English skills in both oral and written communication.
Nimble Learning: Applies lessons from different experiences to new situations and is curious to ask questions to learn from others.

Desirable:

Developing AI solutions such as LLM reasoning, RAG pipeline, multi-agent system and MCP.

Problem solving: assess problems, identify root causes, and reach practical solutions in a consistent way to reach project objectives.

Experience deploying and monitoring AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g Azure/AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in AI, Computer Science, IT field or other relevant disciplines.
