Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enable the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty by 2030 and boosting shared prosperity in a sustainable manner by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 130 client countries. ITS services range from: establishing the infrastructure to reach and connect staff and development stakeholders; providing the devices and agile technology and information applications to facilitate the science of delivery through decentralized services; creating and maintaining tools to integrate information across the World Bank Group, the clients we serve and the countries where we operate; and delivering the computing power staff need to analyze development challenges and identify solutions. The ITS business model combines dedicated business solutions centers that provide services tailored to specific World Bank Group business needs and shared services that provide infrastructure, applications and platforms for the entire Group. ITS is one of three VPUs that have been brought together as the World Bank Group Integrated Services (WBGIS), to provide enhanced corporate core services and enable the institution to operate as one strategic and coordinated entity.
As a unit within Finance ITSFI, ITSTR provides state-of-the-art information and technology applications to support the operations of the World Bank Group Treasury. Functions provided ensure that the systems meet the business needs of users and external clients to manage business processes for the World Bank group.
This position will provide support for WBG Treasury Capital Markets and Investment management departments.
Purpose and Background Business Analyst, the candidate should have a working knowledge of financial instruments / counterparts in Murex, MLC. Strong understanding of Bonds, Money Market instruments, FX and Commodity forwards, Futures / Options, Repos / Reverse Repos and OTC Derivative trades (such as swaps, swaptions, etc.) is expected. A strong understanding of financial risk management (market and counterparty credit risk) fundamentals is desired. Additionally, experience in supporting implementation of integrated financial system applications – preparing specifications, performing design analysis and testing, etc. is expected.
Duties and Accountabilities
Independent contributor IT professional that participates in technical design, development and implementation of risk systems.
• Represent CRMFR in the Murex implementation project as a Subject Matter Expert: in Credit Risk, Collateral Management & Compliance, and implementation streams
• Help to create and enrich user stories requirements and to define user testing acceptance criteria.
• Requirements & Analysis: Gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for credit risk systems, models, and processes. This includes analyzing financial data and credit exposures to identify patterns, trends, and potential risk areas.
• Credit Assessment Support: Supporting creditworthiness evaluations by analyzing borrower financial statements, credit ratings, and risk grading frameworks. This involves formulating criteria for classifying credit exposures by risk level and supporting the development of loan loss provisioning models.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Monitoring credit risk across the loan portfolio to ensure compliance with established concentration limits (by counterparty, geography, sector, and product type). Generating regular management reports on portfolio quality, risk metrics, and early warning signals
• Structure feedback and requirements from within CRMFR concisely and consistently convey them to the project implementation team
• Assist in developing and executing test cases. Perform user acceptance test cases and do the reconciliations as needed to validate that test results are in line with requirements and expectations.
• Collaborate with IT in gathering, reconciling and structuring risk data for migration to Murex.
• Maintain issue status logs and follow up with business analysts to ensure issues are resolved.
• Prepare reports and status updates for CRMFR and management.
• Collaborate with IT for impact assessment of changes, developments of reporting and downstream process implementations.
• Contribute to the proper and timely implementation of the new platform.
• Help create documentation for MUREX Risk User manuals for credit, compliance and collateral risk management functionality.

• Support financial accounting, investment performance measurement, and investment guideline compliance monitoring.
• Participate in systems design, working within an established framework. Typically provides directions to a team of staff and contractors in their area of expertise and may be responsible for managing the performance of team members.

Roles and Responsibilities
Requirements Management:
• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements; produce user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain backlog; prioritize Trading, Market Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Operations.
Analysis and Design:
• Translate requirements into MX.3 configuration designs; author data and interface mappings.
• Define control and reconciliation processes; propose improvements and automation.
Coordination and Delivery:
• Work with Murex SMEs, interface engineers, data engineers, QA testers, and production support.
• Orchestrate SIT/UAT and manage defects to resolution; prepare go live and hyper care.
