Task Description
For the digital survey exploring how young people’s everyday choices shape India’s future, we are seeking support from 60 enthusiastic Online Volunteers (OVs), to lead and drive the data collection process. To support coordination and effective management of the data collection process undertaken by the 60 Outreach Support OVs, 6 Coordination OVs are to be onboarded. Working under the direct guidance of Project Analyst at UNDP, each OV will contribute the following to this exciting study on responsible consumption. Role of Coordination Online Volunteers • Each Coordination OV will manage and monitor a group of 10 Outreach Support OVs. • They will regularly track progress, provide guidance, and ensure Outreach Support OVs remain motivated and achieve their target number of respondents. • They will review and validate respondent tracking sheets submitted by Outreach Support OVs. • They will ensure adherence to data collection protocols and regularly update UNDP and coordinating focal points on progress. • OVs to submit 1-page “End-of-Assignment Report" summarizing trends and feedback at the end of the assignment. Role of the Outreach Support Online Volunteers • Each OV is required to collect survey responses from a minimum of 30 youth participants aged 18–29. OVs are encouraged to use local and personal networks to disseminate the survey, and to collect authentic responses. • OVs must ensure adherence to good data collection practices, including minimizing distractions during participation, confirming informed willingness and consent of respondents, and preventing duplicate submissions. • Working in small groups supported by a Coordination Volunteer, OVs are required to maintain and submit evidence of survey dissemination and outreach. This includes: o Regular updates to the UNDP and coordinating focal points o A respondent tracking sheet (provided to the OV) capturing the name, age, and email ID of at least 30 respondents. • All OVs are required to attend a mandatory virtual orientation session on the purpose of the survey by UNDP and Youth Ki Awaaz after which the survey link will be shared. • At the end of the assignment, OVs may submit any observations, insights, or feedback gathered from participants during the survey process (optional).Competencies and values
