Technical Officer, Disaster Preparedness & Response – P3

Under the direct supervision of the Director – Surveillance, Disease Prevention and Control (D-SDPC), the post holder will provide technical assistance and support to CARPHA, CARPHA Member States (CMS) and other key stakeholders with regard to disaster preparedness and response functions by leading/supporting rapid needs assessments and surge deployments, operationalizing CARPHA’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) procedures, as well as coordinating health-sector engagement across the Caribbean Development Partners Group (CDPG), Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) and the regional response mechanism.

Appointment may be on contract or on secondment from a Public Service or a statutory body of a Member State or approved regional organization. It will be subject to such staff rules and policies, rules, regulations, orders and instructions as exist and as may be introduced from time to time with respect to service with the Caribbean Public Health Agency.
