To ensure smooth and effective running of the Admin/Logistics unit and the delivery of security logistical requirements in a timely manner for the Section.

Duties and Responsibilities
Security Guard Admin/Logistics and Budget Assistant is accountable to the CSO/DCSO, through the designated Officer in Charge [OIC] of Admin /Logistics and Budget. This position is in the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), duty station Abyei. Within limits of delegated authority and under the guidance and supervision of the designated Officer in Charged [OIC] of Admin/Logistics/Budge Unit, the incumbent will be responsible to carry out the following duties and responsibilities: • Shall assist the Security Officer in charge in performing duties related to Admin/budget and Logistics. • Prepare relevant administrative security documents by the directive of the CSO. • Overseeing and monitoring time and attendance records. • Keep a proper inventory on all logistics and supplies for the security section. • Maintain and update database for all security personnel. • Preparing, updating, and distributing the Security Section Duty Schedule. • Organizing and maintaining an efficient filling system for Security Section. • Timely raise requisitioning request for action by the APU. • Ensure that the logistical and supplies needs of the security section are achieved in a timely manner. • Ensure that logistical support is provided to all units within the Section. • Ensure that all administrative requirements are achieved. • Keep accurate record keeping and statistics of all security items in the security warehouse. • Assist the supervisor to conduct inventory and keep a track on stock. • Only distribute when authorized to by his/her supervisor. • Perform any other security duties as per assigned by the DCSO/CSO and supervisor.
Qualifications/special skills
High School or equivalent diploma is required. At least one (1) year experience in Security Administration, Logistics and Budget or related areas in UN entities, International Non-Governmental Organizations [INGOs] or properly certified national security entities is a requirement. At least six (6) months of progressive warehousing, stock keeping and inventory management experience with UN entities, INGO or properly certified national security entities or governmental entities is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of Arabic and Dinka are desirable.

This is a locally recruited position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for the United Nations in the duty station where the position is located (Abyei)
