| Purpose: | The Southern Leyte Field Coordinator IC is primarily responsible for the day-to-day coordination, management, advocacy and visibility of UNFPA’s 9th Country Programme (CP) implementation in Eastern Visayas with special focus on Southern Leyte. These functions include supporting the effective, efficient and timely implementation, monitoring, reporting, and communication of UNFPA interventions and results under the Joint Programme on Accelerating the Reduction of Adolescent Pregnancy (JPARAP) with special focus on the Province of Southern Leyte and stakeholders across the humanitarian-development continuum. The Field Coordinator works hand in hand with the Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender/GBV, Adolescent and Youth, Population and Development, Humanitarian, Partnerships and Advocacy, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Operations teams based in the Manila Office. S/he reports to the UNFPA Assistant Representative. |

| Monitoring and progress control, including reporting requirements, periodicity format and deadline: | The monthly accomplishment report described above will be prepared by the Consultant, reviewed, verified and approved by the Assistant Representative. |
| Supervisory arrangements: | The Field Coordinator for Southern Leyte will work under the overall supervision of the Country Representative and the direct supervision of the Assistant Representative. He/she will also work in coordination with the Adolescent and Youth, Reproductive Health, Population and Development, Gender, Humanitarian, Partnerships and Advocacy, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with the 9th CP outcomes, outputs, and timeline. |
| Expected travel: | The Field Coordinator for Southern Leyte is expected to travel to programme sites (as needed) |

| Other relevant information or special conditions, if any: | Working closely with the JPARAP Team: UNICEF and WHO and their implementing partners, UNFPA implementing partners such as but not limited to ZFF, PSRP, and other development and humanitarian partners, regional and provincial counterparts of national agencies such as DOH, DepEd, DILG, and local government officials (i.e. governor, mayors, local health bodies, population officers, and SKs) in JPARAP sites and other relevant strategic partners under the 9th CP. |
