Mission and objectives

UNICEF Algeria is strengthening the visual consistency of its communication across key thematic priorities, including Early Childhood Development and Parenting, Youth Engagement and humanitarian communication. To support this effort, UNICEF Algeria seeks one creative graphic designer to develop a set of reusable visual templates that will help improve the clarity, consistency and efficiency of communication products.

Context

UNICEF Algeria is strengthening its digital communication to raise public awareness on children’s rights, early childhood development and youth engagement. Social Media content plays an increasingly important role in reaching online audiences and translating complex child rights issues into accessible and engaging formats. The selected volunteer will support the design and production of these templates on Canva, ensuring they are aligned with UNICEF’s visual identity and can be easily used by the communications team for digital campaigns and awareness initiatives. By contributing to this work, the Online Volunteer will help strengthen UNICEF Algeria’s digital communication tools, supporting efforts to raise public awareness on children’s rights and encourage positive behaviors that promote child development and well-being. This work supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through communication on parenting and child well-being, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through awareness on child development and youth opportunities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening public engagement with UNICEF’s mission.

Task Description

Design visual templates systems aligned with UNICEF branding As a 1st step: Develop one template set for each thematic area: Early Childhood Development / Parenting Youth Engagement Humanitarian communication Ensure the templates can be adapted for multiple formats including: Social media posts Carousel content Quote or message visuals Deliver templates in editable formats that can be reused by the team Expected Deliverables The volunteer will deliver: Three thematic template systems For each theme: One social media post template One carousel template One quote / key message template Editable design files Short instructions explaining how to reuse the templates
