Mission and objectives

UNICEF Algeria promotes positive parenting and early childhood development through communication and awareness initiatives. To support this effort, UNICEF Algeria is seeking one digital illustrator to create a series of original illustrations that translate parenting messages into accessible and engaging visuals. These illustrations will support communication products aimed at parents and caregivers.

Context

Through this assignment, UNICEF Algeria seeks to develop a series of ten original digital illustrations focused on parenting themes. These illustrations will translate key parenting messages—such as nurturing care, positive discipline, play, and child well-being—into visually engaging and easy-to-understand content for a wide audience. The selected Online Volunteer will support the creation of original illustrations that can be used across multiple communication formats, including social media, awareness materials, presentations, and digital publications. The illustrations will be developed in close coordination with the UNICEF communications team to ensure alignment with UNICEF’s child-rights messaging and visual identity guidelines. By helping produce accessible and engaging visual content, the Online Volunteer will contribute to UNICEF’s efforts to promote positive parenting practices, strengthen public understanding of children’s rights, and support healthy child development and well-being. This work contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting nurturing care and parenting practices that support children’s development, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by encouraging early learning and stimulation, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening public engagement with UNICEF’s mission.
